Our Process

Our commitment in pursuit of elegant systems drives us to produce some of the finest products on the market. As growers, we understand the immense value of reliable, high-quality soil based products to simplify the cultivation journey. Soil is everything when it comes to plants. Our philosophy is straightforward: we strive to curate the most beautiful, life enhancing products to market. In every possible way, our desire is to mimic nature's prolific,  synergistic beauty, bringing life to your patch of planet earth.

Our Approach

Feedstock organic

The Feedstock

We believe that superior soil and compost products form the foundation of successful cultivation. By focusing on feedstock quality, craft, diligence and care, we've positioned ourselves as a leaders of soil and compost-related products in Northern Europe. All of our feedstocks either come from byproducts of the brewing, milling or juicing industry or are purchased from distributors with aligned environmental practices.

Product Curation

The Small is Beautiful

To ensure a finished product of the highest quality demands a small batch approach. This approach consistently delivers a reliable, nutrient dense product teeming with life. Our windrows are tended to diligently for the duration of the composting process, being turned & watered to control the process.

Bringing a craft to soil care

Compost maturation

The decomposition journey

As our products go through the rapid phase of decomposition, the micro life demand oxygen and release heat and CO2. During this phase, we must ensure the biological decomposition is not compromised by allowing these parameters to exceed desired ranges.

A Decade in the Making

The excellence habit

Our market is flooded with mediocre products, that perform with equal mediocrity. I built this business, with the goal of building the products with the most excellent performance, without ravaging ecosystems in the process. Over the years of developing a first class product, we have, through a process of elimination, developed a recipe that performs even in the most stubborn of soils.

Cutting edge science with old school values

Mature Compost

The CO2 & NH3 conundrum

Composting is as old as the hills. The technology we use to curate our products are not. We use both CO2 & Ammonia as metrics to assesses the respiration rate of the compost. The presence of volatile ammonia, which is typically high in immature composts and the intersecting CO2 values determines the overall maturity index of the compost. This step is vital in determining the products viability.

Human Mastery

The Alchemy

I came to understand, many moons ago that the only way to master a discipline is to completely give yourself over to the process. Next level Compost demands a level of commitment that has literally reshaped the way in which I see the world. Composting is an alchemical process. A truly mysterious transformation from which life merges from death. It is an immense honour, to facilitate in this process, and to deliver a product which enhances life quality for many life forms for generations.
